Project Description

Tamaki Path Greenway

The Tāmaki Path project (also referred to as the Tāmaki Estuary Greenway) has been identified as a priority connection in the Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board’s adopted greenways plan. The Tamaki Path project develops a contiguous 10 kilometre greenway path from Wai-o-taiki Reserve to Panmure Wharf, which runs mainly through a range of different environments including coastal edge reserves, native bush, mown grass, grazed paddock and recreational areas.

The Tamaki Path will contribute positively to the cycling/walking network, linking to the City Centre. The Greenway will provide recreational opportunities at the reserves and improve accessibility to the coastal edge.
