We are enjoying strong and sustained growth in our civil infrastructure, coastal and public open spaces portfolios and are seeking a smart and ambitious skilled and professional Project Manager, based in Parnell, Auckland to join our project design and delivery consultancy.

The best candidate will have worked in a professional consultancy with experience in design and overseeing the successful delivery of capital infrastructure project portfolio with multidiscipline teams.

You’ll be accountable for the smooth running of a portfolio of capital works projects, provide project management and contract advice at an expert level, develop project delivery strategies and solutions that rely on a thorough understanding of professional project management best practices.

Opportunity

We are looking for professionals who have:

  • New Zealand recognised tertiary qualification in engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in an engineering project management consultancy environment
  • Demonstrated project management skills in a range of project types and sizes on time and to budget
  • A strong interest in working on diverse and complex projects
  • A positive, problem-solving attitude to project delivery
  • An active skill in managing projects based on strategic planning and risk assessment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with our wide range of stakeholders, iwi, clients, consultants and contractors
  • Ability to proficiently undertake construction supervision and site investigations
  • Ability to manage contractual obligations and prepare proposals for bids
  • Technical ability to prepare specifications, schedules and contract documentation
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent programming tool
  • Strong interpersonal skills liaising with other professional consultants
  • Manage technical investigations and subconsultant services
  • Must be a NZ permanent resident or NZ Citizen
