The new Pt Resolution Stairs replace the existing poor condition timber and
concrete steps with a design that is more stable and matches the lower stairs,
providing a continuity of design for the whole headland.

The scope included 4 flights of new stairs constructed of steel and concrete to
match the existing steps further down the headland. This section completes
the upgrade of the pedestrian link between Tamaki Drive, Parnell Baths and the
reserve at the top of Pt Resolution/Taurarua. The challenges for this project were
the piling and difficult access due to the instability of the headland.
